Job Title: Head, Medical Services

Job Description

  • They are looking for a driven Head of Medical Services that will primarily ensure an effective and efficient oversight on provider-enrollee relationships so as to achieve optimal satisfaction for both the provider and enrollee and maintain business profitability.
  • The candidate will be tasked with strategically leading and monitoring the Medical operations of the company and drive process efficiency for business results.
  • As well as being responsible for Utilization Review Management (total review of all enrollees that receive care within the period); Carry out Providers audit and quality assurance: this involves infrastructure audit, treatment protocol compliance, service quality amongst other duties.

Requirements

  • MBBs or BSc in any related discipline from a reputable Tertiary Institution.
  • A relevant postgraduate (MBA, MPH), and/or other professional qualifications would be an added advantage.
  • Industry experience of 8 – 10 with at least 4 in related position and 3 years in Leadership is preferable.
  • The ideal candidate should have strong communication & organizational skills; with proven ability to meet/exceed targets and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Nigeria Healthcare Industry Regulations & Operations along with competency in Strategic Health Management and Strategic Operations Management is necessary.
  • The candidate should possess good customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management techniques & Strategic Relationship Management is also needed to excel in the role.

  • The ideal candidate will be tasked with developing, leading, monitoring, and evaluating assigned digital and physical health projects.
  • The candidate will also be tasked with managing and training primary health care staff to meet international quality standards in health care delivery, encouraging beneficiary participation, liaising with other stakeholders, and anticipating, planning, and contributing to the development of new health project proposals and reports.
  • The ideal candidate should have strong communication & organizational skills; with proven ability to meet/exceed targets and deadlines. Knowledge of Nigeria Healthcare Industry Regulations & Operations along with competency in Strategic Health Management and Strategic Operations Management is necessary. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills and Financial Acumen. Knowledge of Risk Management techniques & Corporate Governance is also needed to excel in the role.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years post-qualification professional experience in a Healthcare setup.
  • Candidates should possess a Master’s Degree, PhDs / Doctorates qualification.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leading position in a health context.
  • Certification/Membership /Training in Process, Quality, or Project Management is a plus.

  • The primary objective of this function is to establish the company as a dominant player in the Health sector via the development and management of vibrant Corporate Clientele base, Retail, SME, Partnerships, Public sector, and Emerging market.
  • The critical direction is to lead the Company to become a dominant player in the digital health and primary health business segment, manage client relationships for sustainable growth and acquire profitable mass retail within a five-year period.
  • The overall responsibility will be to find new business prospects, generate sales leads and contacts that will lead to closed sales.
  • Drive strategic relationship management with existing clients while also sourcing new clients and opportunities.
  • Primarily market and sell the company’s digital and onsite services to Institutional clients within the private sector and clients within the retail, SME, partnerships, public sector, and emerging market.
  • Grow the business and identify new opportunities in advance of the competition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Related Field.
  • Post graduate degree in Marketing, Public health Sales or Business administration is an added advantage.
  • 10+ years’ experience in business development including 3+ years’ experience in the healthcare sector.
